A $100million, classified Space Warfighting Center will protect the US if the world ever encounters hostile aliens reflects as space becomes "a key warfighting domain," an expert in defense and UFOs said.
The Aerospace Corporation, a national nonprofit, built a federally funded 90,000-square-foot facility in Colorado "to examine space warfighting and advanced system concepts and educate space operators and analysts on assessing a variety of threat scenarios."
Steve Isakowitz, Aerospace's President and CEO, said in a statement, "Developing advanced space warfighting concepts that enhance the resiliency and agility of our systems is critical to outpacing the threats we face in space."
Aerospace didn't respond to emails with follow up questions.
But expert Nick Pope, the former head of the UK's now-defunct Ministry of Defense's UFO program, told The U.S. that the facility "is a cutting-edge part of the US government's wider space policy."
It has a dual use to combat the US's enemies as well as any potential "hostile extraterrestrial."
Th ET angle is bogus. SWAC is going to have enough trouble figuring out how to fight Russia or China. Space warfare is freaking hard. (I am in the business.)
I think so too. The keyword is “time”. I think they only interfered or approached in small ways now and then throughout history to make sure we do not seriously change what will be our future but would also change their past. Because changing their past would also greatly affect their present.

Correct. Every year we have "near miss" asteroids. It would not take much to nudge one (or several) of those into hitting the earth and destroying human civilization, while not significantly affecting the colonization potential.
H.P. Lovecraft has a more believable scenario than Star Trek does.
In the Star Trek universe we encounter aliens who are at about the same level of technology as us. This is incredibly unlikely.
Much more likely would be that they were millions of years more advanced, with technology and motivations that we would find totally incomprehensible.
Oddly, they have not yet made themselves a real threat and just hang out on the sidelines.

Now ask yourself who and how could anything travel that far without hitting or being hit with something.
If the did they exist you think they would be here for a visit and have a beer.

Because they use Space/time portals. In space time light years have no bearing. These have been around for thousands of years. They are even mapped to match UFO sighting hotpots.
