I like the poem! :-)
Up early because we have company coming today. I had been waiting for the cooler weather to move in before I got on the mower ... everything is (was) really shaggy. So, the call that company was coming was around 11 am yesterday ... got on the mower at 5 & mowed until almost dark. It was actually pleasant out there, especially with the breeze from going FAST on the mower! Entire ‘yard’ is cut, field in front of the house & both entrances, plus half the front pasture, where my garden is located. The garden is really grown up - with so much mowing done, I can tackle cleaning it out this weekend.
Made the 2nd batch of jalapeno poppers yesterday. I saved a couple for breakfast ... pigged out on most of the batch before I got on the mower! I love those things - maybe one more batch, but trying to let some go red for jelly ... not much happening yet. My SIL gave me 3 red ones off her plant - need 10-12 for jelly.
Watching the weather - Fiona not an issue for us, but the next one looks like it will bring major rains up the east coast, if the weather patterns hold. Probably wind, too. Hopefully, there won’t be any power outages. This should happen Oct 1-2 (weekend after next) so I’ve got to make sure some things are in place. I might be getting my half a hog that weekend, too .... gonna’ be busy that weekend!
Since you still have apples ....

Thanks for the recipe. Sounds great! I’m going to modify it for freezer use - which is what I do with most of my jams and butters.
I got all the mowing done, yesterday. It was the perfect day for it. Rain possibly on Friday into Saturday here, and I’ve got plenty of other stuff to do. Broke all land-speed records and finished in an hour and forty-five, when it usually takes me a solid 2 hours to mow. ;)
This season, for sure, I realize that I’ll need more than ONE Jalapeno plant next year, based on our now-fondness for those Poppers. :)
