How Can Teachers Expect to Regain Support from Parents?

The politicization of the education system has destroyed parent-teacher relations. Can the situation be fixed?

The politicization of the education system has destroyed parent-teacher relations. Instead of encouraging healthy communication among parents, teachers, and administrators, public school officials have continued undermining parental rights and implementing their own political ideologies into coursework. Teachers unions work to vilify concerned parents and label them as "extremists" for showing up and trying to be involved in their children's educational process.

Sixty-eight percent of parents surveyed by The Learning Heroes expressed concerns about politicians making curriculum decisions. Eighty-two percent of parents recently admitted in a Harris Poll that they are willing to change their political affiliation over educational policies. Trust in the public education system has dropped to a second all-time low, and conservative and moderate teachers recognize this. They are leaving left-leaning in favor of private schools, microschools, and homeschooling options.

I have been homeschooling my children for over 10 years now. My family was forced out of the public education system when the district that served us lost its accreditation. I also work as an English teacher at our local co-op.

I do not have an education degree, but I have worked in professional writing for over a decade. My lengthy experience working with various genres has offered just as much credibility as any teaching certificate. Instead of learning from someone who has only been trained to teach, my students are gaining insider knowledge from someone who writes for a living. In exchange, I am rejuvenated with hope for the future as I teach creative writing to upper elementary students and also high school journalism.

Can it be fixed? Not as long as they keep hiring woke perverts:

How Can Teachers Expect to Regain Support from Parents?

For starters, you can stop hiring teachers that come to class dressed like this.

Yes, this is the shop teacher and this is how he dresses for work every day.

First off, lose the utterly worthless Teacher’s Unions. Then stop trying to sexually abuse and brainwash our kids. As a bonus, try to actually teach our kids reading, writing and arithmetic.

As a group students with education degrees have the lowest SAT scores upon entering college yet have some of the highest GPAs upon graduation. Clearly academics are not the priority.

Parents shouldn’t send their kids to participate in any educational system that desires to teach that child about sexuality, in any capacity other than the science of reproduction. That’s a conversation for Parents, not teachers. Any “curriculum” about anything other than how reproduction occurs is either direct grooming or a prelude to grooming. You’ll also notice that many of those on the left advocating for the ability to sexually indoctrinate children are doing so seeking self-validation. That is disgusting, particularly when knowing that pedophilia isn’t something which the voodoo science of psychiatry can remedy.

Outlawing teacher unions would be a good start.

“How can teachers expect to regain support from parents?”

The short answer is, they cannot. No so long as teachers set themselves up in unions that have an adversarial position with the parents. Drop the adversity, and get on to the whole point of the educational system, which is to prepare students to live in the REAL world, with knowledge of how to read with comprehension, do everyday mathematical functions, and compose written communications with some degree of competency. Along the way, also teach the REAL history of the nation and the world, leaving out the propaganda, and explain the functions and means by which the Constitution governs the functions of the executive, legislative and judicial branches of Federal, state and local government.

Tall order, I know, and it will mean that teachers themselves shall have to be much better informed than many if most are not now.

Teachers who can prove they are not political . . .

Unfortunately, now everything is political. Teaching the founding documents of the nation is political. Saying the Pledge of Allegiance is political. Daring to say that there are questions about anthropogenic climate catastrophe is political.

In short, daring to say that there are two sides to some issues is political.

The only way for government teachers can expect to regain respect from parents is if they become political - but on the side that supports families and the values that in turn support families.

But the family and the church are the two biggest obstacles to totalitarian control, so there is no hope that the government schools will ever return to American values.

“How Can Teachers Expect to Regain Support from Parents?”

As noted before, the ones with “Education Degrees” need to quit (or be fired), so that people with backgrounds that DO NOT include Leftist indoctrination (plumbers, retired professionals, etc.) can take over. And that includes ‘administrators’ also.

So turn over virtually the entire bunch of ‘teachers’ and ‘administrators’ to non-groomers and things will greatly improve.

How about teaching the subject at hand instead of injecting their personal issues into the curriculum
