got turned off by some posters and left, although I still lurked...came back with a new name....
there has ALWAYS been hot heads on FR...lots of infighting...
lots of posters left over time.....lots....
but this is the ONLY game in town folks....not much like this place....
so buck up and keep the faith.....
and please, no purges....we seemingly had purges around the Dubya era, and even the initial Trump era....
we need all our people but sometimes it does seem like a few get a way with a lot...
I think the most extensive purges happened during the 08 and 12 elections. Some were so mad that people refused to vote for McCain and Romney. And then they started just booting people off here right and left. Those who didn’t get booted left on their own. Pretty soon it was a bunch of Feds and Eeyores. I stayed away for a long time and moved over to the Last Refuge. Checked in occasionally and then found this thread. (Thank you ransomnote!) BTT is still just Feds, Eeyores, and Beetlejuice.
You are right about that! I stuck it out for years, had my share of fights, and finally left when my nerves couldn’t take it anymore. I bummed around the Net for a while but with all the fake news ramping up, I had to come here to keep the lies they told straight. Even back in 2013 I could see fake news starting up.
If I leave again, it will be when they turn FB off because they go bankrupt.
