Scott Frost’s time at Nebraska has come to an end.
Nebraska athletic director Trev Alberts announced Sunday that the school has fired Frost as head coach just three games into his fifth season on the job.
The move comes on the heels of a 45-42 home loss to Georgia Southern that dropped the Huskers to 1-2 on the season and 16-31 overall with Frost as head coach. On top of that, the loss put the Huskers at an unfathomable 5-22 in one-possession games under Frost.

As a matter of fact, they should look at getting Leipold. He has done a tremendous job at Kansas.
I’ll be happy to get fired for 1/4 of what he did if they want a new scape goat!
I wonder though had Nebraska stayed in the Big 12, if they would have moved to the SEC with Texas and OU?
if you look at Muschamp’s first team, at QB he had 2 5-stars, Jeff Driskel and Johnny Brantley, Jacoby Brissette who is a starting QB in the NFL, and Tyler Murphy who could have started for a good number of major college teams.
He had Demps, McCaslin and Rainey at RB and despite all that talent couldn’t build an offense around them.
Did you notice one of the Muschamp’s reject QBs, Jacoby Brisset won for Cleveland yesterday?
LOL, Will Grier may wind up the Cowboys starter before the season is over.
Forgot all about Blake but didn’t forget the Drunkard. I’m surprised Howie didn’t wear a hat with bottles and tubes on the side. He just looked drunk all the time.
Yep.
It was almost as if UGA sent Muschamp to Gainesville to sabotage the Florida program.
If Muschamp had just been an average offensive coach, his 2nd team could have won a National Title, that defense was off the charts good, the talent was there on offense to be top 20-25 and adequate enough to beat anybody that year.
Dan Quinn was more responsible for the Gators defense than Chump was, when he left, there went the defense.
Mrs myk is a Nebraska alum and we watched the train wreck. NE has absolutely no defense at all, it’s a sieve. My K-State kitties, however, are looking pretty decent early on. The first game was totally his fault for that stupid on-side kick call. While I don’t think you can say he tanked the game on purpose (the team just didn’t deliver), the fact that as many people were saying they thought he did or would do the next couple games, they almost had to pull the plug early. Expensive decision, though.
I think based on their monetary value to the conference, yes. But you never know, I look at everything through Husker red glasses so I’m a biased viewpoint!
That’s true but it doesn’t change the idea that given any average offense and that team was National Title capable.
I looked them up myself as well.
Since our founding in 1881 by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word, we have paved new ways for tens of thousands of students to reach their academic dreams. UIW was the first institution to offer higher education for women in central and south Texas, consistently ranks among the top schools for veterans, and ranks No. 1 in the nation among faith-based universities graduating Hispanic students with bachelor’s degrees. As pioneers in Catholic higher education, we continue to forge new roads for every student to reach their full potential and create positive change in the world.
Is this one of those sportsball things?🤔
Why do you still care? It was 5 years ago.
1988 FSU trailed Ga Southern at home, midway through the 4th quarter, 10-7.
It was bizarre. Twighlight Zone bizarre. But they came back and got a few TDs at the end.
Ranked 8th in FCS.
This is entirely possible although I have a feeling Frost is going to take some time to get his head straight...
