Yes, that is stupid. You should be able to go home in a taxi. It is going to be a real problem with this country. Many people live alone, children don't live near them. Elderly friends cannot drive. Your neighbor has to work and cannot help you. Its something that needs to be addressed. It would be nice if some entrepreneur started a uber like company that picked people up at home, and stayed with them for a few hours.

No. Due to the sedation given during the procedure, you are considered impaired. The sedation medication impairs your judgment and reflexes. A trusted person must be with you to accompany you on public transit.
