The feds are not going to propose anyone who disagrees with their construct that no Special Master is needed because the DJ gets to unilaterally decide all questions, and only give the Special master the documents the DoJ has predetermined are relevant. Would the DoJ propose anyone who thinks the Special Master is supposed to do an honest and independent job? No. Therefore, no DoJ candidate can be selected.
