When I was a kid, bullying was just a part of life at school. Some kids are just jerks. I never heard of anyone killing themselves over it though. Society seems to be raising kids who aren’t very robust mentally.

It’s been going on for decades to people who have been paying attention.
I was getting into street fights at my bus stop in 1982 with kids. What made them stop bullying me was when I took a baseball bat to the head of a 5th grader.
It was a different world then.
No parent should send their kid back to a school where he has been relentlessly bullied. I can’t imagine sending a kid back into that.

Yes, something is wrong with these kids and also schools. These cases keep happening repeatedly.
Why was he bullied?
They are raised in the presence of Socialism.

If he had been bullied for years, as the mom says, did the school know about it? Did she know who these bullies are? The article leaves out this information. Seems like she was pretty much a pacifist in all of this, and it didn’t end well.
The kids are OK if they get just a little guidance... But the animals, that's another story..

Threads like this always bring out the worst in comments from so called “Christians”.......
Today’s 8th grade bully and his/her crew use highly sophisticated phone/internet bullying. This can even begin in 4th or 5th grade. Today they aren’t just after your lunch money.

This is part of school life whether you like it or not and the cycle won’t stop with this “be kind” nonsense..
Guess what? I GOT BIGGER and beat the sh*t out of them the next grade. The bad part my parents were called into the principal’s office and they thought I was the violent one!
Don’t know the year but another boy who had been bullied killed himself. The taunting school students who forced him into being an isolated outcast had just voted him number one nerd and that was the last straw.
His father, in tears, made a speech and said “To you he was a chance to make fun, to ridicule and laugh at him as being a nerd. To me he was my loved son and now he is gone from my life forever.”
Yes, kids should be taught to be kind, but as a parent you have to inoculate your kids against the kids who inevitably aren’t kind. I have told my kids from day one that their value does not come from what anyone thinks or says. Their value comes from the fact that God knew them before they were in their mother’s womb and created them as precious in His sight. Nothing anyone says or does can ever change that. So far my kids have fared well in that regard - they are now ages. 9, 12, 15, 15, 17 and 19.
