In other news, California continues to tell the populace not to charge their electric vehicles because the grid can’t handle the strain. Brownouts and rolling blackouts are expected.

300 mile range of the wind is right and moderate temperatures, but how far will it go at below freezing temperatures, when you will need the heater, defroster, wipers and lights? Not my choice for getting anywhere in the winter.
The bright white LED headlights make newer, more expensive vehicles easy to spot for carjackers.

A concern of ski slope lovers, but most folks don’t like to drive their cars long distance in the winter.
EVs will be like Covid jabs, good market acceptance at first and eventually dug-in heels resistance by holdouts.

I see an small ev as a nice 4th car for running around suburbia. Or the grandkids to drive to high school. Right now they’re a bit pricey, but eventually we’ll get there.

I just had mine serviced at the dealer so I’ll check my paperwork and see if they did it. I’m pretty sure mine is the 1.5L but I’ll check that too. It only has 27,000 miles on it.
And there’s still no power to charge it in California. No matter how sophisticated and pretty it is.
