The only poll that matters is the one in November.

I think it is at least in purple and blue states. We will win in most red states.

RINOs use polls to suppress the vote too.

Michigan Republican here..

While the pollster (Glengariff Group) does lean solidly left, they’re a pretty mainstream outfit.

Dixon may have solid conservative creds, but she’s an absolutely horrible candidate (IMHO). No real Executive experience. Little to no political experience. Has the personality and presence of a sweet little chipmunk. Plus, she famously said NO exceptions on abortion. Not for rape. Not for incest. Not for life of the mother. That doesn’t play that well with the general public, regardless of what any of us may think about it.

Tudor’s most recent ad starts out “I’m a Mom”. WHO. CARES? You’re not running for Den Mother or the PTA. You’re running FOR. GOVERNOR. /SMDH. Yeah, that’s important in terms of education, safety, etc..but you didn’t say what you would DO to make kids better educated, kids more safe, etc. Just “I’m a mom”. Sigh..so are millions of other people.

Whitmer has been a horrible, far left governor, but she’s an absolute shark (and as Trump would say if he were complimenting her, “a killer”) as we all know. And she’s got presence (fondness for leather clothing aside) whereas Tudor has little to none.

I cringe everytime I think about Dixon debating Whitmer, as I expect Whitmer will absolutely crush her one on one, simply on personality and presence alone.

Just keeping it real. Chief James Craig was the only guy we had that could have beat Whitmer, and he got taken out early in the process with a questionable “petition invalidity” scheme that looks like it could have been cooked up by the Dems to knock him out.

If one child’s life is saved by the SCOTUS decision...I could care less the fall out.

Truth.

That’s quite a country we live in, when the top issue is killing the unborn. Apparently, getting between an American woman and her precious “sacrament” of abortion is tantamount to blocking Stacey Abrams’ path to a bushel of Twinkies.

The erroneous decision of Roe v. Wade in 1973, and the foolish upholding of the decision for the next 49 years, misled both the pro-death and pro-life political movements about what would happen once abortion re-entered legislative politics.

"Trigger laws" were passed in states by pro-life legislators, secure in the knowledge that Roe would never be overturned so their laws would never have to be enforced.

Right now, the pro-death forces are in the ascendency because of this.

The poor Republicans, as usual, have missed the boat. They could have championed the law most people want - a twelve week ban, or maybe even an eight-week ban - and put the pro-death people on the defensive.

But instead they are allowing themselves to be painted as defending laws that nobody wants (OK, OK, almost nobody) and as a result will allow the radical Left to keep Congress and pass radical pro-death laws that almost nobody wants.

No...we damn well don’t. Many remember her putting COVID infected people into nursing homes and killing them. That isn’t blue or red.

I have yet to see a pro Tudor Dixon ad anywhere. Every political ad I’ve seen has been attacks against her. Every news article about road projects ends with a note that it is being funded by Whitmer’s road project, not passed by republican controlled house and senate. There is a heavy bias in favor the witch.

Don’t know about this poll, but just came back from MI and the democrats were running a hard-core ad against Tudor. They had the usual grainy video and numerous shots of her answering questions about abortion. In each one she stated she was totally against abortion for any reason even rape, incest and life of the mother. It’s ends with the obligatory she’s too radical for Michigan voice over by a distressed female voice.

I imagine it’s a pretty effective ad in college educated suburbs areas. We were out in the sticks in north central MI and they ran the ad at every commercial break on every show we watched.

I’m ardently prolife, but not everyone is, and this ad has probably been very effective. Take one issue and drive it home incessantly to a target audience. It works whether you want to believe polls or not.

Michigan Repubs, like most national Repubs, are running away and waffling on the Dobbs decision, rather than taking the offensive and calling Dems pro-aborts.

It is the Democrats that are not motivated.

Recent polls and talk about abortion are attempts to energize the Democrat base so they are not totally wiped out.

Do not fall for this.

We only lose when we do not show up, so show up, get friends to show up and let’s show them what a real threat to democracy we can be when we throw their butts out of office

Oh, I could definitely agree with that. Michigan RINOs are a particularly nettlesome infestation...but we got Pete Meijer win the primary. Now we need to start housecleaning in the State Leg. Gretch the Wretch and her lick sister companion at AG should both have been removed from office by now, but RINOs gotta RINO.

Trump should hold a couple of rallies for her. I’m sure McConnell and his cronies aren’t being of any help to her.

Unfortunately though, that was two years ago. I haven’t seen any Dixon ads, she needs to remind people of Whitmer’s behavior during the entire debacle.

You’ve really drunk the Dem Kool-Aid. All the Supreme Court decision did was give the decision back to the states, and Michigan is perfectly free to have abortion 24/7 365 up to birth if it wants.

Furthermore, it was not a religious issue. It was simple a legal decision on the Constitutionality of the implementation of the Roe v. Wade decision on the states.

But the Dems were out there with their Big Lie right away and you obviously fell for it.

I have had to “divorce” myself from the USA as an entity. I view myself nowadays as living in an apostate entity under the judgment of God which is probably NOT going to survive. Freedom will survive. Goodness will survive. Love will survive. Prosperity will survive.... just not encapsulated in the corrupt and putrid mess we call “America.”

I never understood the imprecatory psalms and the calls from the redeemed to bring judgment on a wicked world the way I do now. I have always shied away from this, as it is hard to avoid snooty judgmentalism and self righteous condemnation when I invoke that stuff.

However seeing the demonic screeching recently in Kansas over the abortion stuff (they voted NOT to excise right to abortion from their state consitution), and seeing this general trend, makes me say, frankly, “bring it, and wipe their horrible godless hate off the planet..even at the cost of having to make the USA one more of the long list of cultures which has had to be destroyed for their commitment to evil.”

Maybe revival instead? I hope so, but that hope is fading.
