I find Charlie’s “flicking” gesture before he sits down to be more infuriating—a dismissive gesture, not only about the object but the person whose duty it is to remove it.
I’ve known a few people who have this dismissive attitude toward people in service positions, like waiters and waitresses. It totally changed my opinion of them.

I worked at the Pentagon a lot during the late 80’s-early 90’s doing electrical work. Pre 911 the guard posts were a joke. Several of our trucks were cleared to drive into the basement areas. I remember times, like when we needed extra men to pull wire for instance, we’d meet in the parking lot, put a few extra guys in the bed (under cap) of a pickup truck, and just drive them in to avoid the red tape of “getting them cleared” when we only needed them for a day or two. The guards were used to us coming in every day and just waved us through.
No doubt that all changed after 911, but I remember back then, as a young apprentice, thinking how easy it would be if you were a bad person to do nasty stuff there.

I agree 100% in fact I’ve been stating the exact same tihing for at least a year.

It’s even worse than what you think. The Marxist ideology Critical Race Theory is now being taught as a mandatory requirement at 39 of top 50 Medical Schools. Have seen estimates of 70% of medical schools are teaching some form of CRT.

Sounds like he’s a long-time subject and diplomat who is friendly with the royals.
He sounds like he hopes Charles will be a good king.
This is all I need to know about Charles:
He bares his teeth at an aide who moved too slowly.
In addition to being petulant and imperious, I believe he can be ruthless.
He lost his cool, as he was being signed on as king, in front of a huge crowd. He couldn’t even control himself for twenty minutes.
Maybe he’s in pain.
Maybe his grief is overwhelming.
But he’s not going to be a great king.
You can tell a lot about a person by the way he treats a waiter... or a minor aide.
