I wrote it as therapy for myself. 9/11 was a very bad day. I watched the second plane hit from a building in NJ.

It was the first day I had wished I was back on active duty. As it was, I was working for NSA. The next few years were very interesting.

I have never been in DC so I will trust your opinion regarding the 14th street bridge!

I knew someone...a friend....in my company that was going to a meeting in one of the WTC buildings when the plans hit. He survived and they did not. Transportation more or less closed down in Manhattan and he had to walk from from Manhattan over to Brooklyn.

My husband was also a Firefighter at that time and was on shift that day in a county near Atlanta that would have responded if there was an attack there. I was extra nervous that day, was relieved when he came home the next day.
