To accept the evidence means a complete repudiation of everything they have believed and held dear in their psychological makeup. Acceptance of truth would be too frightening and overwhelming for them; therefore they use defense tactics of denial justification and they rationalize. This keeps them safe.

I think it is more like 26%, because that is the number that consistently approve of what the DemocRats do and hate Republicans no matter what.
