The people choosing candidates (democracy) other than what the government would prefer is a threat to DEMOCRATS (and their Republican assistants).
Trump was supposed to be marginalized, ostracized, and exiled.
But his influence over elections across the country has caused the Oligarchs to go crazy.

Trump-endorsed candidates winning primary races for Governor and Senator
Candidate after candidate claiming to be Trump-like, and America-First.
Etc.
The elections are now just about set (only four primaries left, in New England and Delaware).
Democrats know they can't defeat them all.

The interesting thing I’m seeing are mr democrat neighbors rising up and demand that they be allowed to confiscate guns from the neighborhood. Not just AR15s, but any gun. The democrat women are becoming dangerous and stupid.

My read on history suggests that the South's positions on slavery and states rights were intertwined. I would argue that if there were no slaves in America, there would not have been a Civil War. One of the main contentions of S. Carolina and its impetus to secede was that Northern states did not uphold the Fugitive Slave Act. So again, I believe that in 1860, slavery and states rights were intertwined and absent slavery, there would not have been a Civil War - IMHO.
I would disagree. Slavery was not just a southern thing. Why did Lincoln, and a majority of the Union, wait until 1862 then?

The Confederate States Contended that it was up to the States to determine. Now the Feds are contending that Abortion is a Federal Right, but the States are contending it is a State Right according to the Constitution 9th Amendment. Thus, the similarity is that the Constitution never granted Abortion as a National Right, therefore the States need to establish individually. The Feds disagree. That is the issue that the Civil War was fought.
