Forever grateful to your dad and half brother for their service. My dad served in WWII (Naval Air). My father in law served in the Navy in the South Pacific in WWII, my husband lost an uncle on the USS Gilligan at the end of WWII. He was a gunner, a Kamakosi pilot took him out.
The father of my uncle (by marriage) died on the USS West Virginia at Pearl Harbor. He never saw his son, who was an infant at the time. Another uncle was on the tarmac when they loaded the Enola Gay for the Hiroshima mission.
