This is one of the things that I keyed on.
The optics would have indicated that those fancy white gloves of parade dress MUST be made obvious on camera.
right, LMNC hands clasped in front is not a normal military stance.
that seemed to be an aggressive posture of protection?
could these “marines” in the background be actors?
could these “marines” in the background be cardboard cut outs?
So, does anyone have any idea what I'm seeing here. When Biteme starts his speech, there is some sort of symbol superimposed over the stars on the vertical flag behind him during this USA Today clip (circled in white). A reflection of the eagle on the flagpole - turned 90 deg?

At the 33 second mark in the video (if you can see it - lower left - circled in white), the image is wiped off and disappears. It's a definite "wipe", not just a "fade" or "cut". It does not seem to be related to the teleprompter, because after it disappears it stays gone regardless of which teleprompter is being used.
I don't know what it is, why it was there and why it was taken off. Until I know more, I'm guessing that this is something innocuous - it just stood out to me. Something specific to the entity that filmed the speech that was picked up by USA Today? I'll try to find other videos and see if its in them also - or not.
