As a whole [WE] (THIS thread) do not support RUS or UKR in the conflict taking place.
We see that UKR is a country under-going loyalty issues and want to cast their lot in with NATO, collectively we don’t agree with that move because of UKR’s propensity to turn to corruption too quickly; MONEY for politicians.
This trait is thoroughly cold-war Russian position...proven by every Russian immigrant and Russian national I’ve ever met. Some here view UKR as the underdog but most have no opinion.
Russia, OTOH, has a dog in the fight other than Putin’s stance about NATO on his doorstep.
That would be that UKR is using it’s independence to house nefarious military workings in the forms of Labs and nuclear depots...provided by NATO “friends”.
So, [WE] look at the conflict and focus on the political players...their history, their actions, their public statements and ask, “Who Benefits”.
And, in THIS priority: Benefit to the American people; Benefit to the UKR people; Benefit to the RUS people.

The Russian government is targeting the United States specifically. It brags incessantly about how its hypersonic missile and other missiles are superior to American models and will render our ABM systems obsolete. When the speaker of the Russian Duma declares that Russia has the means and moral obligation to take back Alaska from the illegal transfer to America that should be a sign for you. When Russia illegally invades the Republic of Georgia and Ukraine that shows that Putin’s statement “Russia knows no borders” is more than just rhetoric.
If Russia were to take Ukraine’s rich black soil agricultural areas, their coal fields, their largely yet-to-be-developed natural gas and petroleum resources, their mill towns, etc. then Russia will become more arrogant as unstopped aggressors always do and will also be better financed.
I have traveled in Ukraine and love it. The Ukrainian people are beautiful, and many have hearts of gold. I do not buy that their government is as corrupt as Russia’s or America’s. I see the Spirit of ‘76 in many of their soldiers and those who support their soldiers. They are a one-time-zone country fighting an eleven-time-zone country and doing one heck of a job. Freepers are usually critical of “surrender monkeys”. Well, the Ukrainians are fighters and they do not want to live under Russia’s yoke.
All I see on your thread is Russia’s version of the history of the Donbas. My family and friends in the Donbas tell quite a different story. Even after the Holodomor, the Soviets shipped Ukrainian peasants to gulag camps deep in Russia. Some of my wife’s extended family were sent to the famous Solovki Camp near the artic circle out from the port of Archangel. In recent times, the same family has suffered displacement due to the Russian invasion of 2014 and 2022. The “separatist” movement was started by Russia with agents, threats, bribes, mafia tactics, disappearances of key people, and finally troops. Russian speakers in the Donbas are usually not “ethnic Russians”. The Ukrainian language survives even in the Donbas in many smaller agricultural villages. My wife is a Russian speaker. Her grandmother spoke an intergradient between Russian and Ukrainian. Part of the Russian genocide has been the war against the language and the replacement of Ukrainians on the steppe that produced the unique culture. The Russian propaganda reverses the truth and makes it out that poor Russian speakers are oppressed by Ukrainian language bullies.
The Dems spend trillions buying votes via “stimulus” packages, loan forgiveness, gov benefits, and all manner of pork. They do not like spending lesser amounts on our military or on Ukraine. They slow-walk aid, veto needed weapons systems, and present a marvel of inefficiency. Ukraine is not getting much of what could be delivered for the appropriated amounts.
We can fight the war of words on more than one front. We can oppose the Armand Hammer types, today’s model is George Soros among others. We can oppose Obama, Hillary, Biden (his string pullers), and the woke crowd. We should also oppose Russian aggression and Russian decadence which can equal Hollywood’s sewer. Russia’s high abortion rate, sky high alcoholism and drug use rate, homosexual practices, low church attendance, and its corruption are in great contrast to its claimed image of the last stalwart Christian country.
