Three Arkansas law enforcement officers have been suspended after outrage at a video showing two deputies and an officer striking a suspect under arrest.
Cops said Randall Worcester, 27, was making threats to a convenience store worker in Mulberry, near Little Rock, on Sunday morning.
Police said when the officers confronted him, he pushed a deputy to the ground and punched the back of his head, leading to the arrest seen in the clip.
But footage showed the three officers on top of him, repeatedly striking him with clenched fists.
The video was posted to Snapchat with the stunned account asking who they needed to send it to.
Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante issued a statement Sunday evening, saying two county deputies were suspended in the state police's investigation into the incident and the sheriff's office's internal review. A Mulberry police officer also was suspended.
'I hold all my employees accountable for their actions and will take appropriate measures in this matter,' Damante said.

Yikes!
Well, resisting arrest must be cause for endangering the officer and destroying his civil right. Protecting the guilty resisters is abhorrent
Every resisting arrest charge should include a civil rights and officer endangerment charge as well
I worked with a man who smarted off to Chicago cops back in the 1960s. they took him way out in the country and beat the coon dog s—t out of him, then left him there.
He definitely got an “Attitude Adjustment” from that.
Resisting arrest, let alone attacking police officers, is a bad idea.
the mug shot doesn’t look that bad compared to kicking he got
And I’ll bet he never did that again and told all his friends who thought twice before back talking a cop. A win-win, the Amish were kept civil, the rest of the neighborhood knew not to cause trouble, and cops didn’t get sued.
Sorry, if you watch that video and feel the officers actions are justified, you basically are advocating a police state.
Here let’s have two cops on top of you holding you down on your belly.. one of them kneeing you in the kidneys repeatedly while the third punches you repeatedly in the face and then starts grabbing your hair and repeatedly lifting your head up by the hair and bashing your face into the concrete.
There is ABSOLUTELY no justification for this behavior. I am all for use of force, even deadly to neutralize a threat.. but once a threat is neutralized you don’t have cart blanche authority to just beat the snot out of a suspect because you are an arsehole.
Had the glorious pleasure of listening to 3 cops at the bar last night share their stories... Not sure how much of their shit was drunken braggadocio and bigger penis syndrome, but celebrating a 15 year old unarmed girl got killed because the cops shot the wrong person is repugnant, and I got to listen to that...
I am pro law and order, and I have known cops my entire life, a lot of good men and women, but these 3 at the bar last night honest to God, I had to leave.
Agreed, but cops don’t get a free pass to beat on a neutralized suspect... these cops just lost their jobs and pensions most likely.
The perp should be eating without teeth the rest of his life. Assault a cop and pay the price.
Wrong!
Do you know what happened before the video started?
This is what happens when you “weed out the neanderthals” in the police department. You get stuck with whatever you can get. Helluva price to pay for being ‘stylish’.
Hard to say if the subject had stopped resisting.
Isn’t Arkansas the Clinton turf.
Some things can be expected.
There isn’t a damn thing wrong with this incident, this is the way it should be. Reminds me of the old days of accountability.
“If the guy physically attacks cops for no good reason, or anyone for that matter, I don’t have a problem with them returning some of his good will back to him.”
Agreed.
I agree - a disgusting comment.
I have never understood why the right automatically bows down to worship the police. They are simply people that took a job with a gun. They are paid mercenaries to the highest bidder, whether that be the left or the right. Police are not your friends. They will do whatever they are told by those that provide the paychecks.
Slow learners on FR. Dismaying.
I don't need to know what happened prior. Even if the guy had his people, the police should not retaliate by beating someone like that, especially smashing their head into the concrete curb. No excuse for that at all.
Please enlighten us on how YOU would restrain a criminal who was not compliant, on drugs, and just assaulted one of your law enforcement officers who had legal authority to detain him?
