A prosecutor can't begin a trial against a defendant if the defendant is denied the right to an attorney because the city can't afford one.
You can't deny someone bail if you're not going to bring them to trial because you don't have a prosecutor or public defender ready. Call it "bail reform" and let them walk back out the door.
It's not surprising how many of these criminals are repeat offenders while wearing ankle monitoring.
The politicians and their handlers can't publicly say they can't afford assistant prosecutors and public defenders because the bond ratings will drop, forcing them to pay more for future bonds, and it will also encourage the criminals to act out even worse.
These cities have been bankrupt for decades and are not coming back. The election of 2020 was stolen to force Red states to pay for failed Blue states and cities.
You have to understand, long term hardened criminals are only committing criminal acts because the lack the access to (list your middle class accomplishments). If we only gave them high paying jobs, housing... they would be pillars of the community. Oh, and counseling for their self esteem.
