What's the hang-up? If you eat shrimp, crabs and lobsters, well those are basically the insects of the sea.

After all, crickets are the new lobster, as they say. (I think that would make a great advertising slogan.)

Now don't get me wrong, I also like a nice juicy steak. But I could definitely find a place in my diet for these little creatures. They really are packed with nutrition and roasted with a little garlic and olive oil, I'm sure they would make a side dish for my backyard barbeques that would make me the talk of the neighborhood.

Every time I walk outside, this time of year, I hear millions of crickets and locusts/grasshoppers and I think, “yum, food for the taking”, then I awake from my nightmare by a gobble of a turkey in the distance.
