My tinnitus went away when I finally stopped taking ibuprofen (Motrin) to help me get to sleep.
I can make it start again just by taking two ibuprofen.

I have alleviated some of my tinnitus by switching to lactose free dairy products. (That also got rid of other tummy symptoms.)

NSAIDS of any kind can do it, especially aspirin....................
