So, advice, my son want’s to do the 50 by 50 where he visits all 50 states before he’s 50. Eastern Oregon is okay, right?
Secondly, the Lovely Mrs. End Times Sentinel and I HAVE to spend one night in Seattle this September. Now, understand she’s a life long South Philadelphian, I’ve been here 30 years, we KNOW how to sense danger in the urban environments better than 95% of folks (military/LEO/First responder backgrounds)...
Exactly how bad is Seattle, for folks in the area? I won’t be able to bring my EDC.
Thanks in advance,
I was in Canada the last week of July and boosters were not required then. Was the change after that?
“Having to spend one night in Seattle...”
If you don’t come back we’re gonna divvy up your stuff.
Check out Olympia instead...
CANLIS restaurant is one of the best in the nation - a must eat place - great view of Lake Union.
Owners are friends.....so I’m biased......but been there - it’s incredible......
I lived in the Seattle area for 46 years, and moved to rural Kentucky from there in 2011. I bicycle commuted to downtown Seattle as well as Bellevue and the u district. I really loved everything the place had to offer for someone like me but it’s gotten just impossible to deal with anymore. I went back there two years ago to wrap up my father’s estate and spent five weeks there. I never went to downtown Seattle and avoided anything near downtown because of the traffic the people and the attitudes. However, the outlying area is lovely if you can get around the traffic. I highly recommend Green River gorge.
Also, the Tacoma area has a lot to offer and isn’t quite as bad as Seattle yet. Point defiance Park is lovely.
Adding to llevrok’s excellent advice:
Do not go on 3rd Ave. Period.
Or as the intersection Third and Pine is called by the locals - Third and Crime.
