Circumstantial evidence. He’s gotten pretty much everything he’s asked for. When has that ever happened to a Republic Governor in the past, especially one in such an electorally crucial state? Trump has had to fight the full weight of the Deep State to achieve everything that he’s accomplished. DeSantis has had a walk in the park for some reason. If he’s not being allowed to succeed, then there’s some other reason he’s faced so little resistance. Either way he hasn’t proven he can take on the Deep State when their full wrath is focused on him.
It’s so strange the way a guy who’s been involved in election integrity issues his whole adult life (i.e. Gregg Phillips) just happens to be business partners with a patriot mom who founded True The Vote (Catherine Englebrecht). What a coincidence. Both of them are undoubtedly patriots. But there’s more their back story than we’re being told - which is exactly the way it should be.
Not convincing at all. DeSantis is dealing with a state that is generally conservative, and Trump was dealing with the consolidated forces of the enemy.
Cannot compare the two situations. By the same argument, any conservative (for want of a better word) who succeeds is compromoised.
