Black New Yorkers are more likely to fall ill during heat waves due to “structural racism,” the city’s Department of Health says.
A Thursday letter from officials to medical workers warns that extreme heat “is the deadliest type of extreme weather” and that black people are twice as likely to die from heat stroke as white people in the Big Apple.

And, in the very next breath, libs will say “electricity is too cheap which causes it’s overuse and global warming.”
It's always the victim and blame game with them. That is their power base.

Hell, I lived in New Orleans for several years with just box fans and ceiling fans. And New Orleans in summer is light years worse than New York.
Yep, they were reporting on our local news today that there is a study underway to compare the temperatures (during the current heat wave) in the minority areas of the city to those in the “more affluent” areas.
Do you suppose there is any chance they take temperatures in the shade in certain areas, and on wide-open asphalt in others?
If the “solution” to this inequity turns out to be planting more trees in some areas... well, then okay. But I suspect the solution will involve a lot more of my money or other treasure, to make people feel that the heat distribution in our community is not racist.
So the NY Post is saying that blacks are not as hearty and strong as non-blacks?
City heat is different than that of the humid Congo Basin at the same temperature?
