Actress Anne Heche joked about drinking vodka with wine chasers in the most recent episode of her podcast
She seemed to slur her words as she and co-host Heather Duffy said a company provided them with free alcohol to try on their show
They said they were following the advice of a doctor who told them to drink vodka instead of wine, but noted they are using wine to chase down the vodka
Heche then goes on to say she is having a bad day in the episode that aired Friday
The 53-year-old actress crashed her Mini Cooper into a Mar Vista home that morning
She had earlier been pictured with a bottle of vodka in her car
Authorities say she was able to speak with firefighters on the scene following a fiery crash in Los Angeles
LA Fire Department Captain Erik Scott said she was trapped in her car as the fire began to spread, but noted: 'She was talking to us at the time that we were able to pull her out'
Heche was later filmed rising up off a hospital trolley as she was wheeled into an ambulance
A neighbor recounted how fire department officials had to use a crane to pull her out of the car
A photo from earlier on Friday shows Heche moments before the second accident at the wheel with a bottle of vodka with a red cap plonked in the cup holder
The 53-year-old suffered horrific burns during the collision and was recorded being dragged out of the mangled wreck by firefighters after it burst into flames in LA around 11am

There is one thing I don't understand, is how one car could do so much damage, was she driving an EV?
I would rather be a conservative with a drinking problem and have a bottle in front of me, than be a liberal and need a frontal lobotomy.

I saw the door cam video, too. Scary fast. That was in a residential area! She needs to be locked up if she recovers. And sued. The speed reminded me of the Henry Ruggs crash video. I know she wasn’t going over 150+ mph like he was, but it was still enough to do some fatal damage to living creatures. What if a mom with a stroller was crossing the street? Or a person walking their dog?

I wonder if this was one of the new “EV” Mini Coopers. A red hot battery under your butt makes for a bad day. EV’s are so fast. A drunk driving one of them is a guaranteed accident.

Her Mini Cooper has a large analogue speed gauge with an orange pointer. That pointer needle would slam into the gauge at impact. In the past when such gauges with needles were common, a forensic accident analyst would look for evidence of a faint transfer of fluorescent paint from the needle onto the gauge as an indication of the vehicle’s speed at the time of collision.
I probably was mixing 2 different accidents there, because I believe it was the Black Mercedes that was doing 140 in California that ran through an intersection and killed like 7 people in a fireball explosion. But I was trying to say what happens when celebrities are involved in these accidents, more so than I was being serious. I guess I should have added /sarcasm to my statement.
