Install the fair tax and get rid of the income tax. You’ll still need a tax collector but a whole lot fewer of them.

Getting rid of the income tax will take time so cut it down to 1% and make everyone contribute it to a ROTH IRA. No withdrawals until age 59(and a half)> Maybe even later.

Did this bill actually increase the annual budget or is it just a one time boost?

Increasing The IRS Annual Budget By Seven Times Doesn’t Add Up

Is it too much for the author of this click-bait crap to do even the most basic research?

$80B is the total additional amount available through 2031. It isn't an annual increase so it totally moots the point of this article.

Amazing laziness.

The government needs a significant database in order to instantly freeze and/or confiscate the assets of people it doesn’t like. Erasing a citizen’s financial existence is more effective than confiscating guns at this point.

Donald Trump signed the largest tax reduction in American history. The law maintained the Income Tax and the IRS .

There is no probability of replacing the income tax with a Flat Tax or VAT or tariffs.

But they also have plans for their power.

My guess is that this one is twofold:

1) A massive harass and find cause for rounding up/disappearing millions of eventual dissidents, and

2) Coordinating and running the federal government’s social credit digital control and lockdown system.

Yes, that’s part of it, I don’t doubt.

Another part could be Obama finally getting his domestic army.

Weaponizing the IRS. Why not? The FBI and the DOJ already weaponized so what’s the big deal?

The IRS has been a pivotal player in elections.
The attacked the Tea party
They audit conservatives
They let Tax cheats walk if democrats
The conspired with the executive for political purposes

They were the first major government agency flipped from non-partisan to political. Yes, the democrats want to reward and expand that with taxpayer money. This is their private new police force, complete with armor and bullets, that they feel is necessary to protect them from angry citizens.

I might add, I still don’t expect democrats to pay their taxes…….it just the way it is. Right Hunter and Joe, with your joint accounts.

“Plan for the worst and hope for the best” has never been so applicable. I should already be planning for the case in which there is a “red wave” in November. If that doesn’t materialize then the USA is toast.

The marx and engles version of socialism is “from each according to his ability to each according to his need” while the progressive democrats version is “from those who can and do, to those who could but won’t”. Why should they when they can employ the police power of government to TAKE IT from those who can and do and GIVE IT to those who could....but won’t. This is the way progessive democrats and their complicit rino accomplices do congressional business. Such a shame that after generations of examples of where this mindset leads, those who claim to be “enlightened” and “educated” STILL vote for dictatorial governments instead of freedom to
Decide your own fate governments. We were a Republic at one time....until the progressive radicalists convinced the People that this country is a “democracy and not a Republic” without warning the People that a strict democracy means that 51% of the people can vote to annihilate 49% of the people who disagree with them. “Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it” applies here.. This country will stand or fall on our corporate ability to see history repeating and either stop it or ignore the obvious. Make a decision and DO something about it or suffer the consequences of doing nothing. It is, after all, your choice.

How much more abuse are we, the poor suffering taxpayers, going to tolerate FRom this abusive, anti-American administration?

Doubling the size of the IRS (FRom roughly 78,000 to roughly 160,000 + employees!) is, put simply, OUTRAGEOUS!

I AM OFFENDED!

The administration’s proposal to spend EIGHTY BILLION DOLLARS (THAT IS $80,000,000,000!) in order to “bulk up” the anti-American IRS bureacracy defies ALL reason, logic and common sense!

I AM OFFENDED!

I am most pleased to report that there IS a solution to OUR problem: replace the Marxist inspired “progressive” income tax with a simple, easy to understand, easy and cheap to administer FAIRtax that taxes ALL of us at the same rate!

AND, the FAIRtax will ABOLISH the IRS!

To find out more about the FAIRtax, and to learn how to help us, go to http://www.fairtax.org or http://www.bigsolution.org.

That is exactly what they will do. The IRS will comb through years of records and go after the smallest of infractions. They don’t have to be right, the process will be the punishment.

"We will never be a FRee country so long as we have an income tax and an IRS!"

Yes we need a substantial tariff and we need it badly.

And the IRS is the height of unconstitutional power. The laws are so vague that they can mean anything and the IRS have their own courts and judges and they can literally destroy your life over a simple mistake.

The IRS has been stocking up on ammunition. Perhaps the additional agents are being hired to use it:

Yes, all Democrats are in favor of "Digital Asset Monitoring", because your assets are just crying out to be monitored digitally.

Joe Manchin in particular has just whored himself out to make the IRS into an America Stasi with the power of Digital Asset Monitoring (what's in YOUR wallet?) without blinking an eye, over a pipeline. It looks like Kyrsten Sinema is about to do something similar except one hasn't heard confirmation from her.
