Her IMDb biography says her father was a choir director who died of AIDS at the age of 45 in 1983. Heche claimed she was sexually abused by her father. She and her mother have been estranged because of it. Three of her four siblings are dead. She's exhibited some bizarre behavior over the years. I don't know how old her kids are. I hope their lives aren't anything like their mother's has been.
Hopefully she recovers and gets the help she needs. Definitely some psychological issues there.
