If I remember right the girls-gone-wild people got sued pretty hard.

A lot of those girls go to spring break to have a good time, and it’s not that I condone illicit sexual encounters, but they drink a lot and get taken advantage of in their impaired cognitive condition. They don’t think people are going to be taking video of them and posting it all over the internet.

Revenge porn is a violation of people’s privacy but it’s a horse of a slightly different color. Rather than being preyed upon in their impaired state by someone they don’t know, they have had their privacy violated by someone that they trusted at one time.

I agree with the others who have commented on here, if you don’t want to regret having your privacy violated, don’t take explicit pictures of yourself or have wanton sexual encounters. However, that doesn’t give people the right to violate your privacy.

Sounds like a jerk? He is a jerk and pervert. He was knowingly posting 15 year girls and blackmailing them to take more pictures.

The victum on the Netflix documentary said she emailed one topless image to herself because her phone was full (2011 phones did not have much memory) and he was paying someone to hack email accounts and steal images or information to blackmail females into perverse things for his site.

So, he was a blackmailer, hacker, doxer, and child porn promoter. I say that qualifies as a jerk. He made teachers and many other professionals lose their job and ruined reputations.

It’s cultural. Everything is posted online. Everything. The millennials don’t understand what they are giving up. Older generations were private people but the Baby Boomers changed that by ridiculing their forefathers for being closed minded, emotionally stunted, etc. This is the result of “women’s lib” and it accelerated with technology and snowballed with 57 genders, etc.

It’s so ironic to see the fascist tendencies of the Left. It would be funny if the consequences were not so dire. The battle between order/self discipline and chaos/self indulgence has been with the species for millennia.
