Amos 5:24
“But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.”
All great stories of a world (nation) redeemed follow the messianic outline but always fall short of redemptive justification because they are built by imperfect humans.
The Princess Bride comes closest but it is the Jewish messianic story.
Name some others and you will see that the redeeming “hero” is more like Moses (a murderer) than like Jesus.
Scripture is our framework and guide but no story imagined by men will end as gloriously as the Christ story.
Scripture shows us ourselves, imperfectly.
There is nothing new under the sun, right?
