Or baby animals that have been weened. (I’m not going to search - but I’m guessing a weened elephant is still pretty large?) Okay - I looked - about 2,000 lbs!
And if they could actually carry foodstuffs for all these critters, I wonder what they did about poop piling higher and deeper all the time.
(At least they didn’t have to worry about the logistics of keeping fish...)
