ALBERTSON, N.Y. (WCBS) - A 70-year-old New York woman was mauled to death by the family dog in a scene police described as “horrific.”

The victim’s husband told police when he returned home from work Wednesday, he found the pit bull dragging his wife through the backyard. Responding officers described the victim as having been mutilated.
Police say the 7-year-old dog turned on them before an officer shot and killed it.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The dog was reportedly the couple’s son’s pet dog, but he died just a couple weeks ago in a motorcycle crash.
Police say they have no reports of any previous incidents regarding the dog.

When I went through the police academy many years ago they showed us the most God-awful pictures you can imagine. They showed pictures of a sex change operation, victims of a local serial killer who would hide his victims and return for days to mutilate them, and two children who had their heads literally blown off by their father with a shotgun. Those are the ones I remember. The purpose was to desensitize us to stuff we might see. I saw homicide victims and car crash victims and never really thought anymore about it after I was finished with the incident.
Well you need to get rushed to a hospital right away. And get the workers comp claim.
