i wonder how long they can maintain hot pursuit...
I miss the Crown Vic.
I’d hate to see whole fleet of EV police cars. But I can see having one or two for times stealth is needed.
Yeah, I notice it doesn’t mention range, and any range figure would drop dramatically for “non-ideal” conditions/speeds.
More and better equipment won’t make up for pro-criminal courts, absentee fathers, and handcuffed police.
Battery packs have been known to spontaneously combust ie...they "cook off".
Just hope the door latches are not electrically activated...otherwise the driver/passengers will also be cooked.

It is a special purpose vehicle, not intended for pursuits ...
That “non-ideal” part is a question. Most of the Mounties I see spent a lot of time parked with the AC on. AC typically uses about 5 HP so how many stake outs is that?
It’ll probably catch the other vehicles in the fleet on fire at some point.
These agencies will certainly get to field test every EV imaginable.

Crown Vics were neat. And I remember in the late 50’s, 60’s the Interceptors. The guys used to watch for those being surplussed. In those years they traded them around 50K miles so they had a lot of life left.

Range is not a big concern for special use vehicles. I often see unmanned police cars at construction sites with lights flashing. Perfect for this.
A car very few agencies want. Except for the woke retards. And even they will figure out how useless they are in short order. In a year they will take the lights and equipment out and hand it over to parking enforcement.

They are likely for progressive towns to buy and virtue signal with during parades.
Anyone being pursued knows they are a one shot and done joke.
it’s a sales pitch...
there’s absolutely no use for this vehicle in law enforcement...
