Joining your slide: If you find out, let me know. I lost my sense of smell for no apparent reason about 6 or 8 weeks ago. I didn't get sick or anything. I just realized one day that I can't smell anything.

There does seem to be one aroma that is pervasive but not constant. Turmeric. When I can smell something, that is the only thing. The smell of turmeric seems to be everywhere.

And no. I am not taking or using large amounts of the spice.

————————-

My loss of the sense of smell happened exactly the same way! One day, I just could not smell. At times, I could smell something like gasoline, but that stopped awhile back.

I've not had Covid to my knowledge, but I do have friends that got the first jab, I wonder if I got some sort of spike?

I'll let you know if I find something. The orange trick in my initial post did not work, but I’m not surprised.

When my baby sister had Covid a year ago, that WAS her only symptom. She got up one morning and couldn’t smell her coffee so she got tested. She tested positive and had worked with a guy with covid a few days prior so she wasn’t surprised. She said it still isn’t normal. She never got sick, at all.
