You are mistaken amigo. My wife had has an EDd and had to do a dissertation that was 350 pages. She did all the same class hours as any PHd.
Now… a Phd in Physics or something might be harder because of the topic but the hers was as hard as any history, English, etc Doctorate.
She writes high school curriculum for physics, and sciences for the state of Texas through UT.
She claims the degree didn’t make her any smarter, but it does open many doors.
It’s not the same doctor as a medical doctor but the same as a PHD.

Our so. Graduated from so cal with ab EdD and a dissertation was required. Of course, he’s as far left as do Jill. :(
My daughter became an Ed.D and had to give and defend her dissertation.
