Earth to Democrats! You are in a political meltdown because of what Biden (and you activists) did. Not because of what Biden did not do.
It was interesting to read last week that our Democratic friends are criticizing President Biden for doing nothing. Or rather, they are clamoring for him to Do Something to save their political necks -- on the days when they are not avoiding him like the plague.
It does show what a bubble Democrats live in. For the past 18 months President Biden and congressional leaders have been working like mad to pass stimulus bills and Build Back Better bills in the multi-trillions, and the administrative state has been working overtime to bring fossil fuels to a dead stop.
If you knew just a little about economics, you would have been thinking: wow, pedal to the metal spending ain't gonna look good on the inflation front. Stopping fossil fuels dead ain't gonna look good on the gas station front. Democrats should thank their lucky stars that Manchin, Sinema & Co slowed the madness down a bit.
I realize that no headline Democrat has time between peaceful protests to get up to speed on economics, and that's why nobody at Dem Central was saying, back in early 2021: Whoa Neddy! I guess all the relevant experts were busy recommending mandatory vaccinations at the time.
Okay, I understand how young Democrats might have thought that now is the time. After all, they've been carefully taught since pre-school that Allyship and MMT and political action through activism and peaceful protest is the highest and best thing: indeed the only thing, and that the arc of history is just sitting there, waiting for them to bend it towards justice. Excellent point. Even if the GOP won the House or Senate in the mid terms does not mean much unless the Speaker and the Majority leader quit enabling the democrat party. Why are people ignoring this?
The current GOP is not really MAGA and their behavior could determine a win or lose in 2024. Poor performance coupled with unrealistic expectations equals a big lose.
So far, I see losers who will back stab us.
They enable the Dems because it gives them fundraising talking points. The old “we must stop this (fill in the blank) and we need your donations”.
If they actually did stop it, they’d have to find another scam.
The Dems are TERRIFIED of “MAGA” (otherwise known as traditionalist Americans who actually love vs. despise our country) and working overtime to demonize us.
Saw an ad on Fox News (!) of all places this AM claiming “MAGA extremists” were going to basically be the end of everything if “they” get elected again..Social Security, Medicare - gone within 5 years. Elections and “our democracy” - yeah, TOTALLY gone if those evil MAGAers get into office again. etc. etc.
Then, on NBC..the “Jan 6” BS..”Insurrectionists” had a huge cache of weapons just right outside that would support a “government takeover” for 30+ days. Of course, NOT ONE SINGLE WEAPON was used by the “Insurrectionists”, but, hey..the left can claim there was indeedie a HUUUUGE cache of weapons just outside, waiting to be used. Repeating the mantra once again..”MAGA very, very bad. Fear and shun them”.
Then, I see an article from the Slimes this AM claiming that “50+% of Republicans will not support Trump a second time”. BWAHAHAHAHAHA. Riiiiiight.
They are terrified of us. And they are EXTREMELY terrified of Trump. And the lies and BS are just going to get worse, and worse, and worse. They are not giving up, because this next election IS for all the marbles - and they know it.
Install Trump as speaker on Jan 3. Impeach Biden & Harris on Jan 4. Senate democrats go along as the conviction is before Jan 20. Speaker Trump becomes POTUS for 2 years + a couple of days-ineligible to run in ‘24.
They bite the bullet for now.

I agree, they KNOW that they’re going to get clobbered - and this worries me a lot. They crave power above all else, and IMHO will stop at nothing to retain it, including starting a war with Russia…and given the fact that we’re pretty much at war with them because of outlets aggressive support of Ukraine, it won’t be difficult to push it to the next level. They would do it because they think that they could use such a war to declare an emergency and suspend elections, but my real fear is that the Russians will respond with nukes in a VERY strong and certainly preemptive way. While I think that Russia is a dictatorial regime, even such nations have legitimate security concerns - and the prospect of being attacked by an enemy which is far more numerous, far richer and technologically superior is not something that will give Putin the warm and fuzzies.

Because they've been gaslit into believing that their fellow Americans who identify as Democrats are the enemy, while the real enemy moves us around like marionettes at a Punch and Judy show, 51-49, 49-51, never get what you want on either side, and the real power center remians firmly in control.
Without a 70 seat advantage in the HOR and a 15 seat advantage in the SEN, it won’t matter.
A “red tidal wave” means the gain of how many seats? Cable TV today said the GOP would end up with a majority of six in the House and maybe 2 in the Senate. Taking the Collins and Murkowskis into account, those are not even majorities. Where exactly is the Red Tidal Wave.

When asked about inflation and oil, their reply is pretty much “get used to it”. 4 months before an election. Unheard of.
