It’s possible that she asked about your jab status simply to fulfill her Medicare obligations, but the above comment seems gratuitous. I’m not so sure she isn’t a true believer, though more passive than some. Playing the blame game with you isn’t someone who doesn’t care that you’re not jabbed.
That’s possible but I have been seeing her for years, her kids graduated with my granddaughter, (small town), and she’s the best this small town has. This is a doctor that always ran up and through her arms around me at a ballgame. I heard her tell an elderly man in the exam room one day that if he would quit smoking, she would take him out and buy him a steak dinner. She is just regular people. To get any better I’d have to go to Knoxville or Chattanooga and those doctors are really woke and pushing the vax. If I had a serious condition, she wouldn’t be ashamed to send me to the big city doctors but I’m in excellent health and all she really does is my bloodwork every six months to check my thyroid and my annual physical. If I have to trust a doctor, she’s it, but I still think she has to follow government orders with covid or risk losing her license.
For example, when she handed me the papers and left the room, I looked through them and they were all instructions from Medicare on how to do this, say that, etc. It was actually a strict list of everything she had to do and say. I think she wanted me to see it. When she gave me the paper to draw the clock last year, she had it on a clipboard.
She’s a believer in vaccinations. She even sends me a note each Fall to remind me to get my flu vax. Last year she never recommended the covid vax. She said, “get the flu vax for sure because if you get the flu and covid at the same time they will bury you”. That was it.
Honestly, I don’t know what is up with her with the statement, but I have heard the government scientists and others make that exact statement, word for word, online.
