I just got home from my annual Medicare wellness exam. I’m in excellent health BTW. She went down the list of vaccinations and when she got to Covid she asked if I had the Covid vax. “No”. She asked if I’d had Covid. “No”. She asked if I was going to get the Covid vax. “No”. She looked over her glasses at me and said, “you know that people like you that refuse to get the vax are spreading the variants that are infecting everybody, right?” I just grinned and said, “that’s what I hear” and shut my mouth.
I wanted to ask so badly, “how can somebody like me that has not been vaxed and has not had the virus even after being exposed to people that do have it that have been vaxed 3-4 times spread it to people that have been vaxed 3-4 times, but I kept my mouth shut.
In the words of my son if he read this:
DUUUDDDE!
You need to get a different Doctor!!!
My $0.02, I wouldn’t put my health and welfare in the hands of a physician that is that uninformed, knowingly complicit or just another sheep in the herd of medical graft.

I know what you are saying. In her defense, this was the first time she has even asked about my covid status, and it was almost like “they made me do it”. She didn’t push after that crazy illogical statement like a doctor that really wants you to take it would. That was my gut feeling. As far as doctors go out here in the rural sticks, she IS one of our best. Not much to choose from here.
She asked if I had taken my second pneumonia shot and I said no so she wrote out an order for me to get it at my pharmacy. She knows I won’t let her nurse give me one. She gives a terrible shot, so I get my vaccinations at the MinuteClinic. If she really, really wanted to force me to get the Covid vaccine, she would have given me one for that too, but didn’t.
If any doctor tries to coerce or threaten me to get the covid vax, they are toast.
I can’t help but think this was more a Medicare/government thing than her on her own. She is 10 years from retirement and can’t afford to buck the CDC and others that are blackmailing the doctors but at least she didn’t push. Another thing is, she isn’t requiring masks anymore. That tells me a bunch!
She knows I’m not stupid enough to fall for that line so I hope she was embarrassed a little to have said it.
