Federal Judge Will Hear Evidence Against Use of Electronic Voting Machines in Arizona

July 18, 2022
A federal judge announced he will hear evidence against the use of electronic voting machines in Arizona’s upcoming midterm elections on Thursday, July 21.
Judge John J. Tuchi issued an order on Monday granting the hearing in response to a request for a preliminary injunction against the use of electronic voting machines and subsequent motions to dismiss filed by defendants Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs and the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.
The original injunction was filed by plaintiffs Kari Lake, a candidate for Arizona’s gubernatorial race, and Arizona state Rep. Mark Finchem, who is running for secretary of state.
“As there is substantial overlap in the motions, the Court will entertain consolidated presentations from the parties,” the judge ordered. “Plaintiffs will have no more than two hours to present all argument and, as pertains to their application for injunctive relief, evidence. Defendants shall have no more than three hours collectively to present their argument and evidence.”
In the complaint, Lake and Finchem argued that they have “a constitutional and statutory right to have their ballots, and all ballots cast together with theirs, counted accurately and transparently so that only legal votes determine the winners of each office contested in the Midterm Election.”
“The use of untested and unverified electronic voting machines violates the rights of Plaintiffs and their fellow voters and office seekers, and it undermines public confidence in the validity of election results,” the complaint reads. “Just as the government cannot insist on ‘trust me,’ so too, private companies that perform governmental functions, such as vote counting, cannot be trusted without verification.”
I’ve heard of this doctor before. He’s in my neck of the woods, according to the West Texas definition.

Wow! Prosecutors have just dropped all charges against ratings challenged Colbert Show staffers, who entered the Capitol illegally, disregarded police warnings, wouldn’t leave the premises, and were very loud and disruptive late into the evening, with no security present as is mandated by law. These Radical Left lunatics, from a failing show, were treated so differently than the Unselects are treating so many of our great American Patriots. NOT FAIR!
Thank you. I read his works many moons ago. Smart man.
<>How does that help with GLOBAL warming?<>
it does help global warning...
Thanks! So you live in Texas too?
Thank Jane.
I need to make some postits about this since I am regularly at HEB. I’m sure most folks don’t even know.
I’m thinking postits.

DA Alvin Bragg to drop murder charge against bodega worker Jose Alba
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has finally moved to drop the controversial murder charge filed against bodega worker Jose Alba, his office confirmed Tuesday.
The DA’s office said it had filed a motion in Manhattan Criminal Court to dismiss the case against the 61-year-old bodega worker after an investigation found it couldn’t prove the “defendant was not justified in his use of deadly physical force.”
Bragg and his office had faced widespread backlash after Alba was swiftly charged with fatally stabbing 35-year-old violent ex-con Austin Simon, who had attacked Alba inside the Hamilton Heights Grocery on July 1.
The decision to drop the second-degree murder charge comes weeks after The Post highlighted Alba’s plight, which saw the hardworking bodega clerk initially held at Rikers Island on a whopping $250,000 bond.
“If it weren’t for the NY Post, Mr. Alba would still be in jail,” said Frank Garcia, chairman of the National Association of Latino State Chambers of Commerce.

Though as yet unconfirmed, The Jerusalem Post and other outlets are noting estimates suggesting the multi-year deal could eventually be worth some $40 billion. “The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Russian state-controlled energy giant Gazprom have signed a memorandum of understanding worth around $40 billion, according to the Iranian Oil Ministry’s news service, SHANA,” Reuters is also reporting.
“This MoU [Memorandum of Understanding] will be the largest foreign investment in the history of Iran’s oil industry, as it will lead to an investment of several tens of billions of dollars of Russian investment in Iran’s oil and gas fields,” Iran’s Tansim news agency said. And further:
Iran’s pro-government Tasnim news said that the CEO of Iran’s National Oil Company had told reporters that there would be a signing ceremony of an MOU with Gazprom and images on Tuesday showed the lead-up to the ceremony.
Some are looking at this as a win. To me, this should have NEVER happened in the first place. A win would be getting rid of the DA, now!
