I don’t want DeSantis challenging Trump, because it takes two
of our leading men, and pits them to tear the other one down.

What Conservative in his right mind could find that to be a
great situation.

I’m asking that in general terms, because I was not thinking
of you when I raised the question.

I understand where you are coming from, but I do not want
self inflicted (party) damage done to either of these men.

Maybe if Trump had had a conservative primary challenger in 2020, Trump would have stopped bragging about all the felons he let out of prison, and focus on the crime wave we were suffering. Maybe he would have told Fauci to take a hike. Maybe he would have built up a huge poll-monitoring force to watch the ballot drop boxes and monitor vote counting. And maybe he would have finished the wall.

As it was, conservatives let him slide, and he lost touch with the issues that elected him.

Excellent point. The best point so far. And I kind-of think DeSantis has that same idea which would keep him from running if PDJT announces.
