The worst popular voice affectations, IMHO, are:

1) Voice grinding: Non-melodic, grindy, false gruff audiation, usually in females. Kardassians/Lard-ass-ians

2) Nasal: It sounds like the voice is solely through the nasal passages. Fran Drescher
