Same here. I didn’t trust Trump in the first primary, but in the general election it was no choice.

I was so impressed with his consistently following the law and his ability to get things done. Since I was never on Twitter, his tweets didn’t bother me.

You are 100% correct. If they were to force me to cross a certain line, I would thereafter find it much easier to cross 100 times - or 1000 times.

I watched a video a few days ago of a couple of guys hiking through the woods in the Carolinas - looking for snakes under sheets of discarded tin roofing. It seemed like every sheet had a rattlesnake and/or a copperhead.

It occurred to me that that was a perfect metaphor for how conservatives are reacting to our current political environment. We've retreated under that sheet of old tin, but we're also coiled and ready.

The discussion came to "what to do with unbelievers [conservative Americans]." They came to the conclusion that reeducation camps could "reeducate" many, but there would be a segment that was, in their eyes, not salvageable. Their guess was about 20-25 million, IIRC. The solution? Death.
