I think the popular view is not far off. Judges are politicians with a slightly different function. There is such a thing as an Obama judge and a Trump judge. Courts are not impartial institutions, they are outcome driven. Shade this this way or that, and voila, preferred outcome.
The courts damaged themselves starting decades ago. The courts made their own bed, and now correction will likewise be viewed as a political act, not a principled one.
This is what happens when principles go out the window in favor of getting preferred outcomes.
Same argument will surface if a powerful force causes the federal government to contract, e.g., Congress abolishes the Department of Education, or the FBI, or SCOTUS corrects on the commerce clause. “This is politics!”
NBC knows, like the democrats, what ‘rigged’ is all about, especially after democrats stole a bunch of elections, including the presidency.
But, in this case, it’s Trump that’s getting to democrats, with the ‘rigged’ SCOTUS. Trump’s effectiveness is still causing fits with the democrats. Most successful president ever, that Trump.
The Confederacy thought the same thing when Dred Scott was overturned.
Watching the left in the media meltdown over the end of Roe V Wade has been as enjoyable as when they melted down over Trump being elected.
I say we give them as much consideration as they gave us saying the 2020 election was rigged.
