Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) joined the chorus of Democrats and pro-abortion activists reacting furiously to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade on Friday.
Waters, flanked by Rep. Al Green (D-TX), joined activists outside the Supreme Court following the ruling, telling reporters: “The hell with the Supreme Court, we will defy them.”
“You see this turnout here? You ain’t seen nothing yet,” the California Democrat, who serves as chairwoman of the House Committee on Financial Services, also warned.

But Maxine’s got her $5 million DC residence to lounge and cool off in, a residence she bought on her $174k congressional salary.

Maxine may win re-election next November but I can almost guarantee you she will not be a chairman on any of the committees she will serve on.
When Congress changes hands the winning party get to decide who serves where. The Democrats will not be the majority after the 2022 election and there is not much time left for Congress to do anything.

My understanding is that with the ruling, abortion related law reverts to the states. Mad Max is from Kalifornia. My guess is that abortion on demand including after birth will remain legal in godless Kalifornia.
