Very interesting. Normally don’t fly low, except if in an air show, or some sort of drill. Flying from the Nooga direction. I know that TN air guard has had a few planes at the Chattanooga airport in the past, but I don’t think that’s the norm.
I’ll keep my eyes and ears open. About the only aircraft I get low here are lifeflight heading to Erlanger hospital, or the occasional TVA flying the transmission lines.
We see a lot of the hospital helicopters flying low through here too headed to Erlanger or Memorial after a bad accident in I-75 or something.
We also see regular military drills in the area since we are so close to Sequoia, Oak Ridge, Knoxvile, etc. but today was the first in all of the 35 years we have lived here that fighter jets came zipping through the valley just over the treetops.
