Anyone who thinks an Ivy League lawyer turned career politician, who has never worked outside government in his life, is going to lead a MAGA movement needs a reality check.
I don’t know much about Desantis former life so I looked it up.
Wiki said he worked as an assistant electrician in college to earn money, worked as a teacher for a year after college then served in the Navy from 2004 to 2010 when he was honorably discharged.
So yes most,of his jobs were government related but not as badly as say the idiot leading our country right now who went straight into law then politics.
I hope you are not hypocritical on the whole “he’s just been rich all his life” or military aspect, too.
Because indeed, Trump was born into and stayed rich all his life, and never had military service (something Repubs here frequently criticize OTHERS for, but not a word about Trump).
Most on FR would pillory someone for those things. They’ve certainly done it for Klintoon and George Bush (that National Guard wasn’t good enough).
