IMPORTANT Prayer request slide (please forgive me for this slide):
I know that I rarely post but I am usually here lurking - just not recently since there is a lot going on in RL right now.
I’m asking for prayers for our rescue girl (dog), Daisy. She came from a kill shelter and we’ve had her almost 4 years now. We adopted her when she was just coming out of puppyhood. She is a total sweetheart! We LOVE her soooo very much!!!!
She is ill - her liver and maybe the kidneys. The liver specialist is not sure what is causing her to be ill and they want to do a biopsy. Biopsies have their own very serious risks and so we have had the specialist run every other test to rule out diseases. Her platelet count is barely within normal range (it’s low) and so this is a big concern with doing a biopsy. Her ALT is 6x’x the normal high. She’s on Nutramax Denamarin and we think it’s helping to keep the ALT value down and kinda regulated (in the 700’s though still). She was pulled off both Orijen red regional food and nutramax cosequin back in Feb and she’s on totally homemade food now. The liver specialist suspects it could be copper storage disease, canine hepatitis or an auto immune disease. We’re told the only way to be sure of what we’re up against is to do the biopsy (ultrasound guided needle cut or lapro and if they get enough liver tissue - which is another issue).
I’m asking for prayers for her for a complete healing. I know that G*d can heal her if it’s His will. I’m crushed to think she will be gone soon. We thought we had an easy 9-10 more years with her. It was not that many years ago when our 1st rescue girl died of a hemangiosarcoma on her liver shortly after my husband came back home to live after his near fatal motorcycle accident. That was a HEARTBREAKING time in our lives! We are so NOT ready to say goodbye to Daisy for a long time.
Please, please pray for my Daisy to be healed. She is so very loved!

Prayers coming! I hate to hear about ill, injured, or homeless pets. I have five of my own, pupsit my daughters’ dog, and my sister is moving and giving me one of hers. Three of mine are rescues and my sister rescued the one she’s giving me. I know how much love they give and bless you for giving love to yours for however long she has.
