...and they won't germinate in my intestines? yok yok Just kidding! Thanks for that valuable lead! :^)
They are very healthy in general and especially for breast and prostate cancer; a few tablespoons a day. They can be ground up and mixed with cottage cheese, that is a harmless method. They need to be bought whole and refrigerated, and ground at home in a spice grinder or blender right before eating. At least partially ground. Some people put them in baked goods like muffins or cookies.
Very protective against cancer and helpful in keeping it at bay.
Re: flax seeds
I grind them and use them in flours (made a pie crust today with almond flour and flaxseed flour.
I eat them in my bran cereal
This is an old-time remedy from my childhood: a neighbor taught me to keep some in a jar in the bathroom. If you get something in your eye: pull down your lower eyelid, drop one seed in it close your eye, blink a couple of times with your eye closed. Then, gently roll the seed around in your eye. You can feel it under your upper eyelid. It doesn’t hurt. Then, just sit with your eye closed for a couple of minutes. The seed will move to the corner of your eye- with the foreign matter stuck to it. Gently remove the seed. I know this sounds crazy, but it works every time. I did it with my children, and grandchildren.
