If they participated in Korea that would make them at least 80. 20Years old + (2022-1953=69 - 5 cause this was a few years ago=)64=84.
Late Viet era (20 years later) would put them at 64ish. More likely any significant involvement would have been in the Persian Gulf War which would still put them in around 30 years of service (My USNA class just had their 30th anniversary in 2019...maybe 30 folks tops stayed in that long and maybe 6 are still serving).
He got his Korea medal from commanding over there it seems.
