I’m late for my second harvest of rhubarb!
In the past, I’ve put them all in a bucket on the curb and stuck a “Free Rhubarb” sign.
Generally gone in a couple of hours.
I used to deliver my avocados to the 10-12 neighbors that I knew liked them, then got busy and decided to set them on a crate by the street for people to just help themselves. But last season, I noticed they would all often disappear within 5 minutes, so I sat by a window and watched, and the neighbor katty-corner across the street had been hogging them all whenever he saw them! He would even bring his car by, open the hatchback and grab them all and stick them in. What a jerk! So I guess it’s back to individual delivery again this season, which will start very soon!
I wish I lived near either or both of you! Rhubarb and avocados. Yummy. Not together though.
As of next week, my fascist Prime Minister is letting me on airplanes unjabbed again. Woo hoo! I just need to find somewhere to go.
The BEST rhubarb grows behind this house we are in this month. The back yard is right on the shoreline. PR Grabs some every year when we are here. Oh the pies!
That salt air does something marvelous!
