Eggs can be preserved in waterglass...in UK during the rationing in the 50ies..family got several trays of farm eggs and preserved them in a big stoneware tub in the pantry.
Eggs are marketed differently in the UK. The outer membrane isn’t removed like in the US. So their eggs don’t have to be refrigerated. Saw this in a video a few months ago.
I’ve been water glassing three dozen eggs each week for a few weeks now and will continue doing so. I can’t go without fresh eggs.
